About the Role
Responsible for managing and maintaining all refrigeration systems (IQF, blast freezers, cold rooms) in a frozen vegetables and RTE food plant. Ensures temperature control, equipment reliability, food safety compliance, and energy efficiency.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain ammonia/Freon-based systems, chillers, IQF tunnels, blast freezers,
and cold rooms.
• Ensure proper temperature control in processing and storage areas.
• Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, BRC, and safety protocols.
• Lead and train refrigeration and maintenance teams.
• Monitor refrigerant usage and ensure environmental compliance.
• Support production and quality teams with cold chain requirements.
Requirements:
• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Refrigeration Engineering.
• 7+ years in industrial refrigeration/chiller systems (food/RTE preferred).
• Hands-on with IQF, blast freezing, cold storage, and chilled water systems.
• Knowledge of food safety and cold chain regulations.
• Strong technical, troubleshooting, and leadership skills.
