About the Role
The Packing In charge is responsible for supervising and managing the packing operations of frozen vegetable products, ensuring quality standards, hygiene compliance, productivity, and timely dispatch as per company and food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise daily packing activities of frozen vegetables.
• Ensure proper packing as per product specifications and customer requirements.
• Maintain product quality, weight accuracy, labelling, and sealing standards.
• Monitor hygiene and food safety practices (HACCP, GMP, FSSAI standards).
• Ensure packing material availability (pouches, cartons, labels, etc.).
• Coordinate with production, cold storage, and dispatch teams.
• Maintain records of packing output, wastage, and manpower attendance.
• Minimize product damage and control packing losses.
• Train packing staff on procedures, safety, and hygiene.
• Ensure machines (weighing scales, sealing machines, conveyors, colour sorted metal detector) are functioning properly.
• Handle shift planning and manpower allocation.
• Ensure proper storage at required frozen temperature (-18°C or as per standard).
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain discipline in the packing area.
Requirements
· Knowledge of frozen food handling and cold chain management.
· Understanding of food safety and quality standards.
· Leadership and team management skills.
· Basic computer knowledge (Excel, reports, if applicable
· Problem-solving ability.
· Good communication skills.
Qualification:
· Graduate BSc bio, Ag / Diploma in Food Technology
· Min 5 years’ experience in frozen food / FMCG packing department preferred.
Working Conditions:
